Our Staff

Andy made his first dive in October of 1987.  In 1994, he traveled to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef to continue his education as a diver and completed his Divemaster while working on the Trinity, a trimoran running day trips out of the Whitsunday Islands. 

After returning to the States, he earned his Dive Instructor certification through SCUBA Schools International.  In 1999, Andy accepted a position working with the YMCA of Central Ohio as an executive director and became an instructor with the first accredited certifying agency, YMCA SCUBA.

Andy earned the rating of Instructor Trainer and was asked to serve on the National Advisory Committee working with program development and standards.  Andy continued as the technical advisor for the East Coast region. 

Andy is a certified Cave Diver and Cavern Instructor with IANTD.  He holds Instructor Trainer ratings with IANTD, SEI, IDEA, CMAS, and YMCA.  Andy is the owner and operator of Columbus SCUBA Inc. (CSI) and Hocking SCUBA in Nelsonville, OH.  He also directs the diving program at International Field Studies in Andros, Bahamas which hosts the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world along with beautiful oceanic and inland Blue Holes and caves.

Additionally, Andy is involved with Public Safety diving and works as a trainer for the Franklin County Public Safety Diving team.
