Benjamin Hoffman

Benjamin Hoffman   -   Assistant Instructor

Ben became Advanced Open Water certified in 2003 and received his Divemaster certification through PADI on Andros Island, Bahamas in 2005.  Soon after, Ben spent a season in the cold waters of Ketchikan, Alaska as a snorkel guide/Divemaster and then returned to the Bahamas for his IANTD Assistant Instructor and IANTD Instructor development course in 2009.

Ben is also certified in DAN Oxygen First Aid and IANTD Nitrox.  He has a little over 100 hundred dives on the Andros reefa and has been diving the blue holes there. The rich history of Andros keeps bringing him back to explore the deep blue holes and craggy reefs.  Ben will have many stories of great Bahama diving, not to mention the outstanding visibility you could expeience there.

Ben’s favorite piece of dive equipment is his Mares Proton Ice regulator, which makes him feel a bit safer being electric blue for some reason.  The coolest thing he’s done underwater has to be feeding a wolf eel  cracked giant urchin on night dives in Alaska.

Ben is just finishing his degree with an Eco Tourism and Adventure Travel degree at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio.
