At Columbus SCUBA, Inc. (CSI) we believe that diving is not only a recreational sport but a fellowship of unique explorers of the underwater world.  There are so many facets of diving and so many avenues to take; Wreck, ice, cave/cavern, technical, rebreathers, night diving and leadership to name just a few.  Regardless, your SCUBA diving path begins with a sound foundation.  It is our commitment at CSI Diving to start every diver with a thorough Entry level education (Open Water).  

We realize that there are short cuts to diving education, however we recognize the importance of repetition and allowing time to digest learned skills and academics.  Entering any underwater realm where we can’t breathe the air around us has its inherent risks.  Much like driving an automobile, diving requires a learning process that involves an allotted amount of time.  Once learned, practice is essential for enjoying a safe diving experience.

Practice can be attained with continuing education through an Advanced Open Water course, specialty courses, or from just coming out to dive throughout the season.  We encourage all of our students to join us.  We offer a special equipment rental rate to our students so you can enjoy a summer full of diving without emptying your wallet.  

CSI also recognizes the great opportunities to meet other divers and families.  We have established the Mid Ohio Divers which is a Central Ohio based dive club. The focus of Mid Ohio Divers is to gather fellow divers together for trips, BBQs, camping, diving and diving related philanthropy events at the local quarries. One example is the Handicapped SCUBA Association Barbeque which has raised thousands of dollars to benefit disabled divers.
