Summer 2009 Divermaster Candidates

Columbus SCUBA's (CSI) Apprentice Divemaster course is an intensive eight week hands-on training program. It is targeted for experienced divers who have 40+ logged dives, and who are interested in obtaining their first level of professional diving certification.

We have 12 candidates for our Summer 2009 session.


Columbus SCUBA's Summer 2009 Divemaster Class - roll over names to see who's who

Minimum requirements for the Divemaster course are:

    
  • certified as Rescue Diver or equivalent from a recognized Dive Training Agency
  • have First Aid course certification, obtained in the last 12 months
    (PADI EFR, or equivalent course that includes CPR & AV training)
  • have completed and logged 40 dives
  • have medical clearance for diving signed by a doctor, attesting to dive fitness
    (The medical clearance must be current within the previous 12 months).
  • During the program, candidates will be required to attend lectures, confined water and open water sessions.

    Also as part of the program, Divemasters will be required to assist CSI Instructors and Assistant Instructors with two full sets of Open Water and Advanced Open Waters Checkout sessions.
