For 25 years, the T.A. Dive Club has been hosting their famous Divers Alert Network Barbeque (DAN BBQ) and have donating over $30,000 to DAN by doing so.

The DAN BBQ was held at Portage Quarry over the weekend of July 18th and 19th.  Activities included a Golf Ball hunt, The Tater Hunt (a new activity in memory of Bryan DuBoe) and a BBQ Lunch with many prizes raffled away.  This year the club was able to raise over $1200 for DAN.

We are proud to announce that Columbus SCUBA as well as members of the Mid-Ohio Dive Club were able to support the T.A. Dive Club's 2009 endeavors by selling over 25 tickets to their event and donating a number of prizes to be raffled off.

As luck may have it a father (Robert Mazik) of a newly certified Columbus SCUBA open water student, Joe Mazik, won the DAN BBQ's Grand Prize: a full Regulator Set (Cressi 1st Stage AC-10 with 2nd Stage Ellipse and an Ellipse Octopus).
