As a season opener, Columbus Scuba is offering full equipment rental (BCD, Regulator, tank with initial fill, and weights) for only $20 for the entire 3 day event with the purchase of a 2010 DOG Rally and Demo Tour ticket. 

Last year Columbus Scuba brought 26 participants to Gilboa Quarry for the Rally and everyone had a blast.  We camped out for the weekend and made a tremendous number of dives collectively.  Our Drysuit instructors were worn out.

I'm interested, what *exactly* is the DUI Dog Rally?

It's where Diving Unlimited International (DUI),  the world's premium drysuit manufacturers, comes to a dive site closer to you.  At the dive site, two huge tents are set up and are filled with DUI Drysuits and Equipment.  During the rally you get to TEST DIVE DUI's award their winning products, as many times as you want.  TLS 350? No problem.  Delta BCD? okay.

You will be fitted by DUI factory professionals and experienced dealers as well as touch and see all the different options available to you.

But, I've never tried a dry suit before, can I still participate?

Of course you can participate...  No worries… DUI Drysuit Instructors will be staffed throughout the 3 days to assist you and take you on quarry tours. 

When is it, again?

It's during the weekend of June 4-6.  Please note: Friday, June 4th is reserved for Public Safety divers, but that doesn't mean regular divers can't come out to camp and get an early start on Saturday.

Where is it and can we stay the night?

It's being held at Gilboa Quarry in Findlay, Ohio.  Gilboa Quarry allows camping for a nominal fee so don’t hesitate to bring a tent and spend the weekend diving and socializing with hundreds of divers from the Ohio and Michigan area.

The quarry hosts several airplanes, boats, cars, busses and fresh water marine life including 6 foot paddlefish and beautiful rainbow trout.  Gilboa Quarry hosts a fill station with Nitrox, so fill up dive and dive again. For more information checkout Gilboa Quarry's website.
